The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and its Air Safety Foundation (ASF) have developed a wealth of online resources to help pilots stay up-to-date and to improve their knowledge and skills as aviators. Click on the links below to access the Air Safety Foundation's training and safety tools.
AOPA Air Safety Foundation Interactive Courses are free and easy to use. Most courses take about an hour to complete, but you control the pace. The ever-growing course list includes such topics as weather, runway safety, navigation, air space, GPS, IFR flying, maintenance, charts, ATC, and mountain flying. Stay safe and up-to-date.
The ASF Safety Quiz gives you a quick, easy, and interactive way to continually assess and expand your knowledge from the privacy of your own personal computer. A new quiz is posted bi-weekly, so come back often to test your knowledge. Previous quizzes are also available.
Each Real Pilot Story is a true account of a good flight gone bad. Listen to pilots who really have "been there, done that" -- and survived -- tell their harrowing tales in hopes of helping the rest of us become better pilots. All presentations contain audio.
Project Pilot helps AOPA members and current pilots connect with prospective pilots, not as instructors but to support and share experiences with aviators in training. It's FREE, fun, and rewarding.
